POSITION CLASSIFICATION:    Human Resources Coordinator

SALARY:            Commensurate with experience

SUMMARY OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Under the direction of the Director of Human Resources, the Human Resources Coordinator is responsible for maintaining employee data in the personnel system as well as monitoring and carrying out established procedures in conjunction with bargaining unit and exempt staff salary increases.  The Human Resources Coordinator is responsible for generating evaluation notifications to supervisors, processing personnel transaction forms in conjunction with payroll closings and generating data used for EEO reporting purposes. 

The Human Resources Coordinator is responsible for meeting with employees as part of the offices new hire orientation program.  Other duties include maintaining computerized and paper files, making necessary changes in the insurance system, conducting exit interviews, covering employee benefits and the completion of necessary new-hire paperwork.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

This position requires a bachelor's degree in public or business administration or any related field and 3 years progressively responsible professional experience in a human resource environment, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. The position requires the ability to work in a confidential environment. Attendance and the ability to maintain satisfactory working relationships with other employees and the general public are essential functions of this position.

HOURS OF WORK:  9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.  (Monday - Friday)
